The objective of the workshop is for students to begin understanding and applying what conceptual thinking means in design, especially during the conceptual design phase and throughout all stages of the design process. The challenge of thinking conceptually lies in maintaining the essence of the concept throughout the life of the project. The most successful projects are those in which the original concept is carried through to the very end—the realization of the work.
