El Tecnologico de Monterrey GDL / ZAC 2012
This workshop was conceived to bring together architecture students—from two separate campuses—within a shared space of inquiry and making. In addition to fostering collaboration and exchange, the program culminated in the selection of one participant for a summer internship at Studio Gang in Chicago. The workshop emphasized the reintroduction of making by hand as a critical design practice, engaging tools, materials, and Richard Serra’s Verb List as generative frameworks. Through six exercises developed over two consecutive weeks, participants explored process, material intelligence, and conceptual rigor as integral components of architectural thinking.
