Torre Escultura 2009

In Recipe for Making the Color Blue, Nuno Judice transforms color into ritual. Blue is not manufactured but gathered—lifted from the sky, tempered by dawn, clarified by light, and bound by fire. The poem blurs alchemy and art, suggesting that creation is an act of devotion: to imitate the sky is to study it patiently, to understand its shifts, its impurities, its radiance. The watchtower, inspired by the poem, is not built to guard but to witness—to elevate the act of looking, to measure the changing sky, and to remind us that architecture, like color, is made from attention, time, and fire.
