CTBUH 50th Anniversary World Congress Dinner and Beaux-Arts Costume Ball 2019

The CTBUH 50th Anniversary World Congress Dinner and “Beaux-Arts Costume Ball,” held on October 30, 2019, reinterpreted the legendary 1931 New York Beaux-Arts Ball—an event where leaders of the building industry arrived dressed as their own architectural creations. For this contemporary revival, a wedding dress inspired by Aqua Tower, Studio Gang’s iconic Chicago skyscraper, embodied the spirit of the evening, merging architectural legacy, performance, and spectacle. As Shop Director at Studio Gang, I co-led the design and fabrication efforts across all phases of the project.
